I saw a tweet today from a woman in San Antonio who said she’s turning on the heater at night and the air conditioning during the day.
Welcome to fall in South Texas!
Our area is in the middle of its usual weather roller coaster ride during November. It looks like we’re a couple of weeks out from the cold weather sticking around for good (or at least for longer than two or three days at a time).
“The three-month time frame of December to February is a period of frequent fronts and storm systems,” said meteorologist Jennifer Broome.
While temperatures are occasionally hitting the 80s during the day right now, we have already seen our first freeze of the year. That happened last week when temperatures dropped to 32 on November 11th.
“That’s a little early,” said Broome. “The average first freeze for San Antonio is November 26th.”
All this means there is still time to take care of the recommended maintenance on your San Antonio heating system. Champion Home Services suggests customers get a fall tune-up on their heater before the cold weather is here to stay. Just like your car, your heating and air conditioning system needs proper maintenance to run properly and efficiently.
