I wanted to let you know about something really cool going on this weekend here in San Antonio. It’s called Solar Fest, and it’s courtesy of the great folks at Solar San Antonio. The free event is this Saturday from 9am-4pm at Maverick Park on Broadway.
So what is Solar Fest? First and foremost, it’s a place to learn about the benefits of solar energy. Wouldn’t it be nice to not have an electric bill? In addition, there will be all kinds of displays on green building, electric and solar-powered cars, and they’ll even be giving away free trees! But Solar Fest also has fun things for the whole family – food, music and a 5k run/walk.
By the way, it only makes sense that Solar Fest is Texas’ only 100% renewably powered event. That’s pretty exciting.
