NCI certified:
National Comfort Institute, Inc. is the leader in HVAC
diagnostics for both air flow and combustion related topics.
Champion A/C embraces the philosophy of Air Balancing and Air
Diagnostics and we take a whole house approach when customizing
air conditioning systems. Air Balancing is the measuring and
adjusting the volume of airflow into each room. By doing this,
every room in your home will be as comfortable and efficient as
possible.
Save energy and customize the air flow in your home
Just because a heating and cooling system is
functioning doesn’t ensure that it’s operating at its peak
efficiency. In fact, most homes have cold or hot spots in
certain areas and this actually drives up homeowner’s utility
bills. Much like an automobile, air conditioners rely on many
components to work together to provide a maximum amount of
comfort with a minimal utility expense. The problem is 40% of
all energy is consumed in homes and buildings. We have a
solution.
If you are interested in increasing the efficiency and
comfort provided by your heating and air conditioning system
then please schedule an appointment to have an NCI certified
technician conduct a duct evaluation on your home. The level of
sophistication on this evaluation is extremely high and the
ductwork system, return system and heating and cooling equipment
will all be evaluated to determine the current level of
efficiency.
CPS also has very attractive rebates for Air Balancing and
Air Diagnostic testing and duct replacements. Most air
conditioning systems are 30% to 50% low on airflow. The
effectiveness of an air conditioner is entirely dependent on the
amount of airflow in the home. Currently there are less than
5000 individuals in the world who are trained and certified in
air balancing today. NCI certified contractors have 17 years of
accurate case studies and has proven testing procedures that can
pinpoint system deficiencies and improve your system efficiency
by as much as 70%. Call today and schedule an appointment with
one of our NCI certified technicians.
Why renovate my duct system?
Just because there is new air conditioning equipment or
the current air conditioner is functioning doesn’t mean that it
is efficient. Heating and cooling equipment completely relies
upon the distribution system that delivers cold or warm air to
each room. Normally when someone purchases a home with a forced
air heating and cooling system, they expect the duct system to
be in perfect working condition. With today’s demands for the
highest efficiency you may likely find that your duct system
needs to be evaluated.
Ducts control how much air is delivered to each room
throughout the house. If ducts are damaged, improperly installed
or the wrong size, they can cut your air conditioner’s ability
to heat or cool by more than half on hot or cold days, when you
need it the most. These problems can reduce a home’s efficiency
by over 50%.
Typical duct renovations include: replacing damaged and
undersized ducts, adding proper suspension to the ducts and
sealing all of the existing ducts that are assembled correctly.
Sometimes larger ducts need to be installed to certain rooms and
the registers and grilles need to be upgraded. Champion A/C also
offers improved air filtration systems and Ultra Violet lights
for improved Indoor Air Quality.
What is comfort system analysis?
Heating and Cooling equipment and maintenance of this
equipment has changed drastically over the past few years. For
decades, service agreements have only included checking the
heating and cooling equipment. Until recently, our industry has
lacked the technology and the skills to include the duct system
in the equation of servicing air conditioners. At Champion A/C,
we include the duct system and testing as part of our service
and we are able to diagnose and pinpoint system deficiencies.
For example, if an air conditioner worked perfectly then it
would receive an NCI score or SER rating of 100%. Most equipment
is well below 100% and this is where the majority of your energy
bill comes from. Our technicians specialize in increasing your
air conditioning systems efficiency and we often increase homes
efficiency by 25 to 50%.
Get your HeatMaxx and CoolMaxx test for your home.
Your HeatMaxx and CoolMaxx report is the first step in truly
analyzing your air conditioning system. All A/C systems, new and
old should have a CoolMax test. There is never an obligation to
purchase anything. If you are happy with your delivered
efficiency then no further steps need to be taken. If test
results come in at 50-70 percent of the rated equipment
capacity, you may want to have further testing and diagnosis
completed to determine how performance can be improved. Doing a
CoolMaxx test before and after you install new equipment is a
great way to see how your total air delivery system is
performing.
